Goal guide

Healthy Breakfast

Start with a Formula 1 shake, then build it up with Protein Drink Mix, fruit or oats when your morning needs more.

Light, substantial or on the go: one routine, several easy variations.

Start here

Start with Formula 1

Mix 2 scoops (26 g) of Formula 1 shake mix with 250 ml cold semi-skimmed milk (1.5% fat) in a shaker, or blend it for a smoother shake. That is a complete breakfast on its own.

From there you choose: keep it simple, add Protein Drink Mix for a higher-protein shake, or blend in fruit or oats for a more substantial morning.

Shake it or blend it

Same shake, different texture.

Shake it

The fastest option: powder, milk, a few seconds of shaking. Ideal for the plain shake and on the go.

Blend it

Smoother, and better once you add fruit, oats or ice.

How it works

A Formula 1 shake is a meal replacement: it is your breakfast, not something next to it. Make it the same way most mornings and the decision is already made.

Mark’s real example

Mark’s substantial breakfast shake

Mark trains most days, so his breakfast is a bigger blended shake built on Formula 1 and Protein Drink Mix.

What he uses: one scoop of Formula 1 shake mix, one scoop of Protein Drink Mix, frozen strawberries, skyr or quark, cottage cheese, a handful of oats, a little spinach, oat milk and his Herbalife24 Creatine+. All in the blender; oat milk by eye.

His personal recipe, not official Formula 1 shake preparation and not a plan for everyone: the extras are optional and there is no calculated nutrition figure for it.

Make it your own

Light and simple

The plain shake: 2 scoops (26 g) with 250 ml cold semi-skimmed milk.

Protein Drink Mix pack

Extra protein

Stir in one serving of Protein Drink Mix (28 g / 2 tablespoons) for a higher-protein shake.

A bowl of rolled oats

More substantial

Blend in a small banana or a handful of oats for a longer morning.

A pile of fresh mixed berries

Fruit-based

Blend in a handful of fresh or frozen fruit for flavour and volume.

A tub of Greek yoghurt

Creamier

Add a spoonful of light Greek yoghurt, skyr or quark for a thicker shake.

On the go

Shake it in a shaker and take a Protein Bar if the morning runs long.

A day in practice

The rest of the day

What to eat around it

Formula 1 covers breakfast. For lunch and dinner, a protein, vegetables and a carbohydrate is an easy pattern to follow.

Eggs, avocado toast, bacon and a salad

Lunch

Eggs, chicken, fish or beans with vegetables, plus rice, potatoes or bread.

A simple chicken dinner

Dinner

A normal plate you cook, reheat or already enjoy.

Worth knowing

Practical tips

  • Shaker for speed: a blender gives a smoother result with fruit or oats.
  • Frozen fruit works as well as fresh and thickens the shake.
  • Short on time? Put the powder in the shaker the night before; add milk and shake in the morning.
  • Too thick? Add a splash more milk or water.
  • Hungry an hour later? Add Protein Drink Mix or oats next time; that is useful feedback, not a mistake.
  • Fancy a tea with it? Instant Herbal Beverage is quick hot or cold; it contains caffeine.

Common questions

How do I make the basic Formula 1 breakfast?
Mix 2 scoops (26 g) of Formula 1 shake mix with 250 ml cold semi-skimmed milk (1.5% fat) in a shaker, or blend it for a smoother shake. That is a complete breakfast; everything else is optional.
Do I need a blender?
No. A shaker is fastest and fine for the plain shake. A blender gives a smoother result once you add fruit, oats or ice.
Can I add fruit, yoghurt or oats?
Yes. Fruit adds flavour and volume, yoghurt or skyr adds creaminess and protein, and oats or a banana add carbohydrate for a longer morning. All optional.
When should I add Protein Drink Mix?
When you want a higher-protein shake: stir in one serving (28 g / 2 tablespoons) for 15 g more protein in the same breakfast.
What if the shake doesn’t keep me full?
That is useful feedback, not a mistake. Add Protein Drink Mix, a spoonful of yoghurt, or oats and fruit, and see what keeps you going until lunch.
What changes on a training morning?
Breakfast usually gets bigger: Protein Drink Mix plus fruit or oats works well before training. For the session itself, see Sports & Training.
What if I want a dairy-free option?
Ask Keely first. Herbalife does sell a water-based, dairy-free route using PDM Vegan, but it is worth checking current stock with us before assuming it is on the shelf.
